Loss to care at each stage of the hypertension care cascade. Of those with hypertension, 82% had been screened for hypertension, representing an 18% loss to screening. Of those who had ever had their blood pressure measured, 74% received a diagnosis of high blood pressure, representing a 26% loss to diagnosis. Of those who had been diagnosed, 96% were being treated with antihypertensive medication, a 4% loss to treatment. Of those who had taken blood pressure medication in the past 2 weeks, 27% had controlled blood pressure (< 140/90 mmHg), a 73% loss to effective treatment
